You asked for pictures....so here they are!

Here are pictures of the quilt that I made.....please note that this is the second piece that I put together. I haven't worked on it for over a year because it just made me say....blah. None of my corners match...but....I don't think that my dad will care if it is perfect or not. He has the important ingredient...unconditional love.
Here is Unconditional Love quilt. See? Not a single straight line in the entire quilt

Here is a different look.

My binding (ick!)

  1. That looks great, Katie, even though some of the seams don't match. Your binding looks pretty good actually. It is better than the one time I tried machine stitching both sides. You'll note I say "one time". Ever since then, I've handstitched down the back.

The nice thing about parents is that they see the love you put into things you make for them, and don't care about perfection.

  2. Colleen...you are so nice. I look at the fact that everything is all wonky and cringe. I think my dad will see this as a "blanket" and I hope that he won't mind that there just really aren't that many great things about this quilt.

  5. Thank you so much for the kind words! They really help me feel better about giving it as a gift. I really did work to get this sucker finished. I abandoned it for a year. LOL. So happy that it is done!
